Hanes geo component update: ‘We’ve made some progress’
The parent company of Hanes said it has made some improvements to the components of its geo-components in response to a request from regulators.
The company said it had made some of the components more flexible to adapt to more global markets.
It said that it was not yet ready to release a final product, and that it will continue to review its global positioning system to assess whether it will need to change.
The changes were announced by Hanes in a blog post Friday.
The components were built by a team of engineers and designers from Germany, France, Spain and Australia, according to the blog post.
“The components we have today are the best that we can build and will be used by our customers,” the company wrote.
The posts said the changes were “not about replacing Hanes’ existing products, but are designed to make the products more flexible and adaptable to new markets and circumstances.”
